My work spans a variety of subject matter, from the totally abstract, to the darkly absurd, to some sweeter pieces that marry nature with elements of design. I draw inspiration in equal measure from the natural beauty of the Pacific Northwest, and from the work of other artists: those in my community, those working elsewhere, and those from generations past. I am continually drawn to bright colors, bold shapes, and intricate patterns, and have a keen eye for detail. I hope that my small, playful work will draw viewers in to look closely into the neat, little, sometimes unsettling worlds I create.
